The Food Was Amazing, really Good,

Been coming to this location for years, usually late in the evening, and always had a great experience until about 6 months ago. Since then, the cooks stopped knowing how to properly cook steak, and don't knoe the difference between medium rare and "health-code violation" raw. The servers are either too busy or distracted to be properly attentive. Sad to say that it's time to find a new evening diner spot in the north end.

My waitress returned with the new steak. OMG! Yes, it was brown on the outside and raw on the inside - all the way through! I called over the waitress and asked her to take back the steak and give me a bill for what she felt the meal was worth. I paid $18.00 for great coffee, ok onion rings and a scoop of mashed potatoes. I heard their pies were great, but I wasn't taking any chances!

I had the opportunity to tell the manager that I had been travelling in the United States for over six weeks and this was the worst meal and service (6 of out 10 for the waitress and the cook deserves a 0) I had ever been presented with on my trip. In fact, I think ever! Although her apologies were sincere, I think that she totally didn't get the fact that the

By great menu selection. Service & seating is generally quick. Food is prepared well. Price i guess is the new low but seems moderate. Frequently runs corporate specials.

Service was wonderful but pulled pork sliders were not something I would ever order again. The restaurant was clean and inviting

Only wish there were more in the community as this is not close and i must travel over 5 miles by bus to eat here. Need one in Lake City-Way or Sand Pointe Way that is easily accessible to the hospitals/clinics and UW campus.

I showed it to the waitress and she pick it up with a napkin and took it back to the kitchen to ask for another steak, medium rare. I was left with my mashed potatoes and seriously mushy vegetables. I ate the potatoes while they were warm and just left the vegys.

The server made a fresh pot of decaf coffee and it was great. The onion rings weren't too bad at all, but before they were even eaten the waitress brought out my mushrooms in a dish all by themselves. I asked where my soup was and she explained that it wasn't a five star restaurant and that the soup had to come with the meal. (I heard her explain my request for the soup to the cook, and apparently he wasn't impressed with this inconvenience.

Coming from Phoenix az, and definitly coming Back, and Prices áre really Good too..

I didn't come to Shari's Cafe and Pies for five star service. Nevertheless, I expected that I could have reasonable good service and food. This visit was more than a disappointment.

I arrived at the restaurant on Aurora Avenue, and explained to the waitress that I had been driving in the snow for five hours, and just wanted a nice relaxing meal. I ordered a starter of onion rings and their steak. Soup came with the steak and I requested that I have the soup before my steak and I also ordered mushrooms and onions to come with the steak. I also asked if I could have about 10 minutes between each serving...

cook is part of the team and that there is a serious problem in the restaurant.

When I asked her if I could keep the mushrooms hot so they could be served with my steak, she said that the steak was on it's way. So I munched on the button mushrooms with tough stem ends, but they grossed me out to think that they hadn't even cut off the tough stem bottoms so I stopped eating them. Then my steak came about five minutes later. Medium rare I ordered and it was a piece of well cooked steak - no red, even in the middle.
