I love this place! EXACTLY what I needed. I go pretty much only for cardio about 5 times a week and spend 1.5 hours each time. The front desk staff is EXCELLENT and always friendly! I've had only great and exceptionally friendly service. I'm honestly super impressed with this Planet Fitness!
There are many great things to say about Planet Fitness: clean, friendly, helpful staff, much improved appearance. My only concern is that the machines used for the 30 minute circuit training are very inferior to the prior machines. The new ones are stiff, uncomfortable, and don't move with ease. I've heard the old circuit machines are going to be removed by the end of the year and we will be stuck with the newer, cheaper, uncomfortable, stiff alternative. I hope this is wrong information, but I'm watching and will report back later.
First time coming as I go to the one in Everett but they are closed due to renovation. Tried the lake forest park location but they don't have enough equipment and weights to get a good workout. So I decided to try this location out. Overall it was a good gym lots of stuff to work with. Front desk people could use a bit more customer service training though. Other than that I enjoyed my time there.
Stopped in today this evening as I was shopping around for a gym to join. I was greeted by a contagious smiling pretty young girl named “Edna.” She knew her job and company well. Before she went into the membership etc, she was very straight-up and clear about “no judgement” policy, which I greatly embraced. I was clearly explained the types of memberships and she without hesitation answered all of my questions. She gave me a quick yet thorough walk-through of the gym and it’s special features. Edna encouraged me to check out the men’s dressing room. I spotted a member in there and asked his feedback on the gym and the service. He gave both 5 ⭐️. Needless to say, I joined. Place was very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Thank you Edna for being so passionate about your job. Your persona and behavior truly show you love ❤️ your job. I’m so glad you were available to show of your company to me. I was very impressed by not only what I say but heard from Edna. Thank You again.
I have great luck with Planet Fitnesses everywhere I go. Regardless of if I've paid $10/mo. for basic membership or $20/mo. for Black Card membership, it's been worth the money. I am not a fitness master so whatever machines they have there are good enough for me, but others who are more involved say they have a pretty good variety. I rarely have to wait for machines, even when they are busy. I also really enjoy the training classes with Spencer. He's a real nice guy, encouraging and patient but still motivating, and actually remembers the names of people who join in. It encourages me to keep coming back even when I'm full of sweets and lazy.
Spencer, the trainer for the Gym is very professional. Explains how to use the equipment in detail, very personable and approachable. Very refreshing to encounter at a gym. Very nice gentleman.
